About Us
Club Meetings are held on the last Monday of each month at 8pm in the Millbrook Lodge Hotel, Ballynahinch. Everyone is welcome – just come along to find out more and decide if you want to join us.
Our activities
Rally
What we’re all about.
Since the beginning we have organised rallies including Targa (lanes) Rallies and hosting a regular fixture in the Northern Ireland Rally Championship since the early 1990’s with our Stage Rally at Bishopscourt Race Circuit.
On four occasions from 2018 to 2023 we jointly organised the award-winning Carryduff Forklift Down Rally with neighbouring Club, Rathfriland Motor Club.
In 2025 RMC will be the sole organisers of the Down Rally and BADMC are making plans for our own closed road event in 2026 – watch this space!
Micra Challenge
Entry level Special Stage Rallying with lots of support and advice.
Launched in 2023, the Micra Challenge (www.micrachallenge.com) goes from strength to strength. It’s a true competitor-led series with lots of hard work and support from some of its leading competitors.
You can follow the action on our dedicated YouTube channel which features broadcast quality reports that tell the story of each round with plenty of action and interviews telling the stories as they happen.
Social
The beating heart of the Club!
Monthly meetings (last Monday of each month) are relaxed but we get through the business of updating members on the latest news and developments locally including regular updates from the NI Rally Championship, Micra Challenge, Motorsport UK and ANICC.
And there are always winners in BADMC – our monthly lucky dip (£1 entry) means some members go home with a bounce in their step!
Between Christmas and New Year there’s our annual Gaunching Night – always a surprise (sometimes to us too!) – it could be Bingo, a Quiz Night or perhaps a special guest entertainer.
Rescue Unit
Ballynahinch Motorsport Rescue Unit (BMRU) is a key part of BADMC. We operate two fully equipped rescue units that are licenced by Motorsport UK.
